Gaslight Square Gaslight Square - updates:

• CITIRAMA set for October 08-24, 2004
• Approximately 70 units planned for area
• KETC's 2004-05 "Rebuilding" St. Louis Feature

The Gaslight Square District is situated between the Central West End and Grand Center. Plans call for six single-family homes, 40 townhouses, and 24 condominiums to be built on Olive Street between Boyle and Whittier Avenues. Buildings were demolished, as well as new streets, sewers, water lines, and other infrastructure put in at a cost of about $3 million. The 5-acre site should be built-out in about 2 years, paving the way for an adjoining block to be developed.
