What is an RSS feed?
RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is an XML format that enables easy distribution and updating of news
and information. An RSS feed provides content summaries of news, blogs, forums or website content.
How do I read an RSS feed?
To use RSS you must use a News Aggregator (also called a news reader) that will allow you to collect and
display your RSS feeds. News readers are small software programs that aggregate RSS feeds and display the story
information. There are several news readers and aggregators available.
Once you have your news reader setup, you can select
the RSS feeds (content) you wish to subscribe. The Urban St. Louis Forum feeds will supply you with simple headlines and
brief descriptions. If you are interested in the topic of discussion, you can click the headline to view the entire
discussion.
If you have a MyYahoo! account and would like to add an Urban St. Louis RSS feed to your personalized pages, you may click the
[+] MY YAHOO button in the categories that interest you most to add a feed directly to your
personalized page in Yahoo!.
How often are the UrbanStL RSS feeds updated?
The RSS feeds are updated every time someone makes a post to the Urban St. Louis Forums. When a new post is made to the
forums, it will also be added to the RSS feed.
